Ruin Station is a space station that orbits [Terminus (Pyro VI)](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/RAXv9kpk5m-terminus-pyro-vi) in the [Pyro system](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/0ODxJM917N-pyro-system). Constructed by [Gold Horizon](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/bmNrApJp3P-gold-horizon) for [Pyrotechnic Amalgamated](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VpM4anYBn1-pyrotechnic-amalgamated) in 2512 as the company's new base of operations, the station, then known as MacEwan Station, served as the main processing point of exports from Pyro and saw continual use for decades. When Pyrotechnic Amalgamated declared bankruptcy in 2563, the company decided to abandon the station instead of bearing the cost of decommissioning it. It was shortly thereafter claimed by outlaws, who gave it its current nickname. Today, Ruin Station is Pyro's main hub of drug manufacture, blackmarket sales, and other criminal enterprises, and has been the site of many major power struggles between rival gangs. Extremist organization [XenoThreat](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/galactapedia/article/VgExkEAB19-xenothreat) has been in control of the station since 2947.

Sie wurde von [[Gold Horizon]] für [[Pyrotechnic Amalgamated]] im Jahr 2512 als neuer Stützpunkt des Unternehmens errichtet. Die Station, die damals MacEwan Station hieß, diente als Hauptumschlagplatz für die Exporte von Pyro und wurde jahrzehntelang kontinuierlich genutzt. Als Pyrotechnic Amalgamated im Jahr 2563 Konkurs anmeldete, beschloss das Unternehmen, die Station aufzugeben, anstatt die Kosten für ihre Stilllegung zu tragen.
