Fan Spotlight: Fan Fiction Volume 3

For this week’s Fan Spotlight we’ll be highlighting a few of our favorite wordsmiths out there. That’s right, this week’s spotlight is on Fan Fiction and we’ll be showing off a more dastardly side of the verse. So pull out your pirate hats, sing a hearty sea shanty, and let’s get started.
First up we have a recent entry from Rufus Sutuul called The Blackjack Gang. Rufus tells the story of a brother and sister that have joined a gang with cards of the deck carved on their helmets. While the story is short, it’s filled with excitement and I can’t wait for the next entry.

Next, Nova weaves a tale about a ragtag group of mercenaries hired to take down a Bengal carrier called The SuperNova Legacy. Needless to say, things don’t go quite as planned and leads to a perilous escape, and that’s just the first part of the tale! Though it was a year in the making, Nova has finally come out with part 2 and is worth the read.

The Adventures of Rooster and Zan tells the story of two lifelong friends traveling the ‘verse in a Cutlass. Initially started as a few guys trying to make a profit, the story has now spanned three chapters and they’re all excellent. DavidonSC knows how to tell a tale and I always enjoy reading his work. Check out his thread here!
Lastly we visit Blood-Red who has taken a more scholastic approach to his fiction. In his piece Bill Ladyman and Dr. Lee Chiang discuss the ecological impact our moon had on Earth and the UEE. This is a fun & different approach to our Fan Fiction and we enjoy it.

Für das Fan Spotlight dieser Woche werden wir einige unserer Lieblings-Wortmenschen vorstellen. Das ist richtig, das Rampenlicht dieser Woche liegt auf Fan Fiction und wir werden eine hinterhältigere Seite des Verses zeigen. Ziehen Sie also Ihre Piratenhüte aus, singen Sie ein herzhaftes Seemannslied und lassen Sie uns anfangen.
Zuerst haben wir einen aktuellen Eintrag von Rufus Sutuul namens The Blackjack Gang. Rufus erzählt die Geschichte eines Bruders und einer Schwester, die sich einer Bande angeschlossen haben, mit Karten vom Deck, die auf ihren Helmen geschnitzt sind. Während die Geschichte kurz ist, ist sie voller Spannung und ich kann es kaum erwarten, den nächsten Eintrag zu sehen.

Als nächstes webt Nova eine Geschichte über eine Ragtag-Gruppe von Söldnern, die angeheuert wurden, um einen bengalischen Träger namens The SuperNova Legacy zu erledigen. Unnötig zu sagen, dass die Dinge nicht ganz so laufen wie geplant und zu einer gefährlichen Flucht führen, und das ist nur der erste Teil der Geschichte! Obwohl es ein Jahr in der Entwicklung war, hat Nova endlich Teil 2 herausgebracht und ist es wert, gelesen zu werden.

Ursprünglich als ein paar Leute angefangen, die versuchen, Gewinn zu machen, hat die Geschichte inzwischen drei Kapitel umfasst und sie sind alle ausgezeichnet. DavidonSC weiß, wie man eine Geschichte erzählt, und ich lese immer gerne seine Arbeit. Schaut euch seinen Thread hier an!
