Rebuilt: The new RSI home

Der heutige Tag ist der erste Schritt in Richtung eines globalen Redesigns der Webplattform. In ihrem ständigen Bestreben, die Website innovativer zu gestalten und für neue Benutzer attraktiver (und verständlicher) zu sein, hat das Turbulent Team hart daran gearbeitet, Ihnen diesen ersten Einblick in die Erwartungen an die RSI-Website im nächsten Jahr zu geben.

Was gibt es Neues?
Die Homepage
Die offensichtlichste Änderung ist natürlich unsere Homepage. Wir präsentieren jetzt von Anfang an unsere neuesten und besten Videoinhalte. Dieses Top-Karussell wird auch weniger überfüllt sein, um nur die wichtigsten Updates für das Star Citizen-Projekt zu bieten.

Auch unser neues Titel- und Top-Menü wurde überarbeitet, um weniger Platz einzunehmen und die Navigation zu erleichtern. Es wird auch ein brandneues standortübergreifendes Warnsystem für wirklich wichtige Nachrichten enthalten, die wir der gesamten Community vermitteln wollen.

Neue Blöcke auf der Homepage informieren Sie über unsere kommenden Veranstaltungen: Welche Beiträge, Streams, Umsätze kommen, wann und in welcher Zeitzone!

Dies ist ein erster Schritt zur Modernisierung (ja bereits!) des gesamten Webstils. Erwarten Sie weitere Änderungen!

Kontakte
Sie werden feststellen, dass sich auch Ihr My RSI-Menü geändert hat. Es enthält nicht nur Ihre Badges und Org, sondern führt Sie auch zu Ihrer Kontaktliste. Wir nennen das "Plattform-Kontakte". Diese Kontaktliste ist das Tor zum brandneuen Lobby-System des Spiels: Folgen Sie jedem von überall auf der Website und finden Sie ihn leicht in Ihrer Spiel-Lobby. Detaillierte Anweisungen zur Verwendung deiner Kontaktliste findest du im nächsten Arena Commander Benutzerhandbuch.

Dies ist eine erste Version von Platform Contacts, die es Ihnen nur ermöglicht, anderen Leuten zu folgen und sie dann zum Spielen innerhalb des Spiels einzuladen. Die nächsten Updates werden den Kontakten vollständige Funktionen der Freundesliste hinzufügen, so dass Sie Updates und den Echtzeit-Online-Status Ihrer Freunde in Star Citizen sehen können. Noch einmal, bleib dran!

Spiel-Säulen
Wir weihen unsere neue Version von "About the Game" ein. Der Abschnitt ist nun stark auf der Homepage zu finden und beschreibt die Vision und den Status des gesamten Projekts. Möchten Sie jemanden dem Star Citizen vorstellen? Schicken Sie sie auf diese Weise und lassen Sie sie es in ihrem eigenen Tempo entdecken.

Wir hoffen, dass dieser erste Umbau der About the Game Figur Neueinsteigern helfen wird, sich über den Umfang des Spiels zu informieren und sie für eine Teilnahme zu interessieren. Wir werden weiterhin weitere großartige Dinge für Neueinsteiger hinzufügen: Backer Guide!

Was kommt als nächstes?
Das ist ein großes Update, aber wir sind noch lange nicht fertig. Dieser ersten Iteration folgt eine gründliche visuelle Harmonisierung und globale Verbesserung, um sich auf den neuen Karrierebereich vorzubereiten. In wenigen Monaten werden wir einen umfangreichen Leitfaden darüber veröffentlichen, was Sie tatsächlich wie im Star Citizen Universe leben können: Welche Arten von Gameplay werden angeboten, was kann erreicht werden, welche Werkzeuge können Sie für den richtigen Handel einsetzen? Bleiben Sie dran für mehr Informationen.

In Vorbereitung ist auch ein neuer Community Hub, über den Sie mit der gesamten Community auf einen Blick informiert werden können. Diese neue Drehscheibe soll euch Spielern neue Möglichkeiten bieten, zum Projekt beizutragen und mit dem Team in Kontakt zu bleiben.

Das Kontaktsystem steht ebenfalls noch am Anfang, da wir planen, Ihnen wechselseitige Beziehungen zu Ihren Freunden und einen detaillierten Live-Status zu bieten.

Greetings, citizens!

Today marks the first step towards the Web Platform’s global redesign. In their continuous effort to make the site more cutting-edge, and aiming to be more appealing (and understandable) to new users, the Turbulent team has been working hard to bring you this first glimpse of what awaits for the RSI website next year.

What’s new?
The Homepage
The most obvious change is, of course, our homepage. We’re now featuring our latest and best video content right there from the start. That top carrousel will also become less crowded to only feature the most crucial updates to the Star Citizen project.

Our new header and top menu got revamped as well to take up less space and be easier to navigate. It will also feature a brand new cross-site alert system for really important messages we want to get across to the whole community.

New blocks in the Homepage will let you know about our upcoming events : which posts, streams, sales are coming, when, and in which timezone!

This is a first step towards modernizing (yes already!) the site style all across the board. Expect more changes!

Contacts
You’re bound to notice that your My RSI menu has changed as well. Not only does it now feature your badges and Org, it also leads you to your Contact list. We call this “Platform Contacts”. This Contact list is the gateway to the game’s brand new Lobby system : Follow anyone from anywhere in the site and find them easily in your game Lobby. Detailed instructions on how to use your contact list will come in the next Arena Commander User Manual.

This is a first release of Platform Contacts that only allow you to follow other people and then invite them to play inside the game.The next updates will add full friends list features to Contacts allowing you to see updates and realtime online status of your friends across Star Citizen. Once again, stay tuned!

Game Pillars
We’re inaugurating our new version of “About the Game”. The section is now heavily featured on the homepage, and details the whole project’s vision and status. Would you like to introduce someone to Star Citizen? Send them this way and let them discover it at their own pace.

We hope this first rebuild of the About the game piece will help newcomers learn about the scope of the game and get them interested in joining. We will continue to add more great stuff for newcomers : Backer Guide!

What’s next?
This is a big update, but we’re far from done. This first iteration will be closely followed by a thorough visual harmonization and global enhancement, to prepare for the new Careers section. In a few months we’re going to deploy an extensive guide on what you can actually live as in the Star Citizen Universe : what types of gameplay are offered, what can be achieved, what tools can you use for the right trade? Stay tuned for more.

A new Community Hub is also in preparation, where you’ll be able to keep up with the whole Community at a glance. This new hub aims to bring you players new ways to contribute to the project and stay in touch with the team.

The Contacts system is also just starting, as we’re planning to bring you 2-way relationships with your friends and detailed live status.
