This Week in Star Citizen
06/13/2022 - 9:00 AM
Happy Monday, everyone!
First, we'd like to thank everyone who stopped by one of the Bar Citizens we hosted over the weekend to celebrate First Contact Day and International Bar Citizen Day! It was lovely to see you all again in person, and the team had a fantastic time chatting about all things Star Citizens and recharging their batteries with community energy. The turnout was overwhelming with more than 800 attendees worldwide!
We know that some of you would have loved to join us but, for various reasons, could not travel to the events in L.A., Austin, Manchester, Montréal, or Frankfurt. However, this was just the kick-off of our Bar Citizen World Tour. And if you have an event in the works, please share it with us on Spectrum as we're looking for community-driven Bar Citizen events that we can attend around the globe!
Speaking of the community, we invite you to promote your organization for the upcoming Foundation Festival, a new-player celebration starting in July. We're looking for orgs of all varieties and sizes to spotlight throughout the month, so if you're recruiting, let us know!
There's also still plenty of time left to show us your colors in our Pride month celebration! We've seen incredible submissions so far - keep it up!
As you can see from above, we believe that the friendship between space game nerds is truly exceptional and allows us all to accomplish so much more together. However, friendship and respect for each other exist not only within our community but extend to all players and developers who look to the stars and dream of adventures (after all, there's literally enough space for all of us).
So, it's a great honor to announce that we've teamed up with our friends at EVE Online, and invite both of our communities to the Battle Of The Bricks to raise funds for a good cause close to our hearts!
Oh, and if you're not much of a hands-on tinkerer, don't panic, because Alien Week is just around the corner with a whole slew of creative challenges!
Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:
This Monday, we kicked off the Battle of the Bricks, a competition to find the finest brick builders from Stanton all the way to New Eden.
Tuesday, get ready for an Alien Week primer, as the narrative team shares a new Xi'an transmission. Can you help translate the text?
Then, from Thursday, the Alien madness kicks off properly with a week full of fun, updates, contests, and some out-of-this-world ship and paint offerings.
Also on Thursday, we're back with another episode of Inside Star Citizen, exploring the unseen wonders of the Banu Merchantman in an in-depth development status update.
On Friday, Jared and Lead Concept Artist Frederic Dupere invite us to a special alien-themed Star Citizen Live game-dev episode starting at 8am Pacific/3pm UTC.
You can also catch an update to the alien-themed Subscriber Vault and the weekly RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox.
Have a stellar week both in and out of the ‘verse!
