Happy 2955, everyone!
We hope you all had an incredible holiday season - whether spent with family, friends, cozy at home, or venturing into the depths of Pyro!

We closed out last year with the release of the Star Citizen Alpha 4.0 Preview, and have thoroughly enjoyed watching many of you take your first jump! At the same time, our team has been hard at work behind the scenes. We've been closely monitoring gameplay data, reviewing the wealth of feedback across all channels, and rolling out a variety of hotfixes and adjustments (with more to come) to improve the experience. Launching the Preview channel came with its risks, which is why we made the decision to keep 3.24.3 available as a second option to play, but we're feeling great about the foundation we have in place for the updates to come.

Now that the full team is back in action, we're shifting into high gear. Our immediate focus is on refining 4.0 with improvements and fixes leading into a 4.0.1 patch. As shared in the year-end Letter from the Chairman, improving overall playability is our top priority, and we're determined to start 2955 on the right foot.

Keep an eye on Spectrum in the coming weeks as 4.0.1 moves through the PTU and gets ready for its live release. Once we're confident in the stability and strength of 4.0, we'll also begin retiring 3.24.3 - but rest assured, we'll give you a heads up before that happens.

We've been blown away by the incredible participation in our recent Feedback Survey - nearly 34,000 responses and counting! A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to share their thoughts! Participants can still edit their replies, so if you want to make any adjustments after spending more time in 4.0.0, feel free to do so. Everyone who completes the survey will receive a set of 2954 IAE shirts and hats in-game, which will be distributed after January 15.

We'd also like to give a special thank you to everyone who participated in the Beauty of Pyro screenshot contest and the Gift That Keeps on Giving video contest. If you haven't already, check out the breathtaking submissions showcased on the Community Hub, and we'll be announcing winners soon!

On the Community side, we're thrilled for an epic showcase of skill and grit in the filthiest race in the 'verse. On Saturday, January 18, the Daymar Rally 2955 will kick off, with racers pushing the pedal to the metal and battling for glory in the biggest community-driven racing event of the year. Don't miss out on the live stream; head over to their official page for all the details!

Now, let's see what's going on this week:
On Tuesday, we'll publish the Subscriber Monthly Newsletter and Subscriber Comm-Link.

Friday will see the weekly RSI Newsletter directly delivered to your inbox. As a reminder, our weekly shows, Inside Star Citizen and Star Citizen Live, are on a hiatus and will return soon.

Have a stellar week both in and out of the 'verse!
