This Week in Star Citizen

Hey there, everyone!

This is the last TWISC of 2019, so it felt right to make it festive! ☃️

Last Friday, Alpha 3.8 hit the PTU for Wave 1 testers which was followed by a very successful stress test of SOCS. We’ll be looking to open up to Wave 2 soon to continue testing, all the meanwhile preparing for the big release before we break for the holidays! The release of 3.8 will kickstart a handful (this is a pun – you just don’t know it yet!) of in-game seasonal activities. Keep your eyes peeled for more info coming soon!

Our 2019 Holiday Greeting Card Contest is underway! Design and create a Star Citizen themed greetings card, and submit it on our contest page on Spectrum to enter to win! We’ll be printing them out and hanging them up in the studio throughout the duration of the contest!

Re-watch CitizenCon and relive all the action with every panel available now on our YouTube channel. And just because we love you, random citizen, we’ve created a playlist for your convenience.

Finally, as the year comes to an end, we want to say thank you for your always inspiring passion and support over the years. It’s been an incredible journey and we’re looking forward to what promises to be one hell of a new year.

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:
On Tuesday, the Lore Team will give you a look into how the new Civilian Defense Force might change law enforcement in the Stanton System in a new OP.NET.

On Thursday, we’ll check out a new episode of Inside Star Citizen, digging(ha) into the upcoming ARGO Mole & updates to ship mining in Alpha 3.8. This will be the last ISC of the year, but you can expect the series to return in the new year with more behind-the-scenes action.

Friday will bring us updates to the Roadmaps and the Subscriber Vault, with the weekly newsletter delivered straight to your inbox. Note that this will be the last Roadmap (and Roadmap Roundup) publish until the new year. Star Citizen Live has begun its holiday break, and will be back to answer all your questions in 2020.

Initial spawn selection is coming to Star Citizen in Alpha 3.8!


When a new account logs on for the first time or when a veteran player experiences an account reset, you will now be prompted to choose your initial spawn location between Port Olisar, Lorville, Grim Hex, Area 18, and Levski.

Keep in mind that this is not intended to be used as a teleportation device, and will not function as one. This is intended to be a one time selection, so choose wisely! Community MVP: DECEMBER 16TH, 2019

We are constantly amazed by the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, a YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub. Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for a chance at seeing it here!

Dies ist der letzte TWISC von 2019, also war es richtig, ihn festlich zu gestalten! ☃️

Am vergangenen Freitag traf Alpha 3.8 die PTU für Wave 1-Tester, gefolgt von einem sehr erfolgreichen Stresstest von SOCS. Wir werden versuchen, uns bald für Wave 2 zu öffnen, um die Tests fortzusetzen, während wir uns inzwischen auf die große Veröffentlichung vorbereiten, bevor wir für die Feiertage pausieren! Die Veröffentlichung von 3.8 wird eine Handvoll (das ist ein Wortspiel - du weißt es nur noch nicht!) saisonaler Aktivitäten im Spiel starten. Halten Sie Ihre Augen offen für weitere Informationen, die bald folgen werden!

Unser 2019er Weihnachtsgrußkarten-Wettbewerb ist im Gange! Entwerfen und erstellen Sie eine Grußkarte mit dem Thema Star Citizen und reichen Sie sie auf unserer Wettbewerbsseite auf Spectrum ein, um teilzunehmen und zu gewinnen! Am Dienstag gibt Ihnen das Lore Team einen Einblick, wie die neue Zivilverteidigungstruppe die Strafverfolgung im Stanton-System in einem neuen OP.NET verändern könnte.

Am Donnerstag werden wir eine neue Episode von Inside Star Citizen ansehen, in der wir(ha) in die kommende ARGO Mole und Updates zum Ship Mining in Alpha 3.8 graben. Dies wird das letzte ISC des Jahres sein, aber Sie können erwarten, dass die Serie im neuen Jahr mit mehr Action hinter den Kulissen zurückkehrt.

Freitag bringt uns Updates zu den Roadmaps und dem Subscriber Vault, wobei der wöchentliche Newsletter direkt in Ihren Posteingang geliefert wird. Die erste Spawn-Auswahl kommt in Alpha 3.8 zu Star Citizen!


Wenn sich ein neues Konto zum ersten Mal anmeldet oder wenn ein erfahrener Spieler einen Konto-Reset durchführt, werden Sie nun aufgefordert, Ihren ursprünglichen Spawn-Standort zwischen Port Olisar, Lorville, Grim Hex, Area 18 und Levski auszuwählen.

Beachten Sie, dass dies nicht als Teleportationsgerät vorgesehen ist und nicht als solches funktioniert. Dies ist als einmalige Auswahl gedacht, also wählen Sie klug!
