Happy Monday, everyone!
What a week! The past few days have been all about the 2951 Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, and the Tobin Convention Center saw thousands of visitors marvel at the many ships and vehicles up close every single day. We’ve seen great reveals like the Anvil Spartan, the Argo RAFT, and of course the brand-new exploration ship from Musashi Industrial and Starflight Concern, the MISC Odyssey. We’ve laughed at the fantastic Whitley’s Guide coverage and maybe also shared a tear with Jax McCleary and his trusted partner Jimmy.
However, the show is far from over as the community’s champions just conquered the floor. The Crusader Mercury Star Runner, Crusader C2 Hercules Starlifter, Origin 600i, and the ultimate winner of this year’s Ship Showdown, the Argo MPUV-1C (also known as Argo Cargo) are on display, all dressed for the occasion in their brand-new Best in Show paints. Check out the Best in Show post on Spectrum to find out how to secure these exclusive paints and even more goodies for yourself!
Also, don’t forget to check out more than 120 ships during our ongoing Free Fly, and take your chances at winning your very own Crusader C2 Hercules Starlifter by participating in our IAE 2951 Screenshot Contest Finale.
Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:
This Tuesday, the Narrative team will publish a Clean Shot broadcast, in which Craig Burton gives his thoughts on this year’s expo, including his support for the Argo Cargo’s surprising Best in Show victory.
Wednesday will be the last day of IAE 2951, and thus your last chance to get your hands on this year’s special IAE offers. We’ll also publish our bi-weekly Roadmap Update and associated Roadmap Roundup. As with previous years, we won’t have a Monthly Report for November. However, we’ll include all of this month’s details in a double November/December report early next year.
Thursday brings a new episode of Inside Star Citizen that takes a look at the recently unveiled MISC Odyssey and finishes with a Sprint Report.
On Friday, you’ll see an update to the Subscriber Vault and the RSI Newsletter will wait for you in your inbox. Star Citizen Live will come back to us on Twitch at 8am Pacific / 4pm UTC. This week, members from the Vehicle Content and Feature teams will be joining us for a special post-IAE, all-ships Q&A!
With this, have a great week, and we’ll see you at the expo hall!

IAE 2951 – Test The Limits
The galaxy's premier annual aerospace event, the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), runs from November 19 to December 1.
To commemorate the event, we want to spotlight the milestones of spaceflight. Pilots have always dared to risk the cold, harsh expanse of space, soaring above worlds with no safety net to catch them. Spaceflight is about being bold and doing what needs to be done. Find out more about the IAE 2951 here! This week, let’s take a look at another key player in history, Michelle Saleno.
During the mid-2130s, Roberts Space Industries began testing the Zeus prototype, a short-range explorer that would eventually make history as the first commercially available spaceship. In 2136 during a flight that was being broadcast across the world, the hull of an early Zeus ship ripped apart as it left Earth’s atmosphere, destroying the ship.
RSI turned to the navy and renowned test pilot Michelle Saleno for help in keeping the Zeus program alive. Saleno, affectionately called Sal by her friends, had extensive experience with RSI’s Quantum Core engine and held the honor of being the first pilot to quantum past Jupiter.
Saleno and her crew spent the first year demanding changes before she or any of her pilots would take a first test flight. She battled with RSI executives over the ship’s hull and drove RSI to completely overhaul its design. Finally, on 2137-3-19, Saleno climbed inside the Zeus for her first test flight. The new Zeus had been worth the wait. At 15:09 SET, Saleno safely touched down and became a media sensation.
Famously she stated: “A test pilot’s job isn’t about taking risks; it’s about achieving results. It’s about safely landing again just as much as it is about fearlessly flying forward.”

IAE 2951 - Test The Limits
Vom 19.
