Roadmap Roundup
12/07/2022 - 1:00 PM
Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Every two weeks, we accompany the Roadmap update with a brief explanatory note to give you insight into the decision-making that led to any changes. This is part of an effort to make our communications more transparent, more specific, and more insightful for all of you who help to make Star Citizen and Squadron 42 possible.
With that said, let’s go ahead and dive into this week’s Roadmap Roundup!

Notable Changes for December 7, 2022
Release View
The following cards have passed their final review for Alpha 3.18. Therefore, we are changing their status to Committed:
Drake Vulture
Building, balancing, and implementing Drake Interplanetary's light salvage ship, the Vulture, into the game.
Cargo System Refactor
This refactor of the ship cargo system will allow both found and purchased cargo to be picked up, moved around, and placed into the cargo grid of a ship.
Time Trial Race Missions
Time Trial Race Missions are being added throughout the Stanton System. Players will be able to test their skills versus set times, earning rewards based on performance and even unlocking more tracks as they progress.
Persistent Entity Streaming
Implementation of the Persistent Entity Streaming core technology into Star Citizen. Making use of services such as the Entity Graph and Replication Layer, this will allow every dynamic object in the game to fully persist across all servers, irrelevant of whether it is owned or held by a player.
Gen12 Scene Renderer
New Rendering Architecture to improve performance. This milestone renders every scene object through the new renderer, with optimizations and additional features, such as Vulkan, coming in the future.
That's all for this week! Join the discussion on Spectrum, and check out the Roadmap Companion Guide for more information on the Star Citizen Public Roadmap.

Roadmap-Roundup
12/07/2022 - 1:00 UHR
